Chicken rolls with bacon

Description
Delicate, but with a decisive touch, the chicken rolls with bacon are very easy to prepare and even when the refrigerator contains few ingredients, these meat rolls will save your dinner! Perfect for a brunch, for an aperitif or as a second course, the chicken rolls with bacon are prepared with chicken breast, but if you have turkey available, the result will not change!
Procedure
Cut the chicken breast into not too thin slices, cover them with a sheet of parchment paper and beat them lightly. Season the chicken breast slices with a pinch of salt, a grind of pepper and a sage leaf.
Roll the chicken slice on itself, until it forms the classic cylindrical shape of the meat roll. Wrap each chicken roll with a slice of bacon and secure the two meats with two skewers.
In a large non-stick pan, fry the garlic clove in extra virgin olive oil, add the rolls and brown them well on all sides. Deglaze the chicken rolls with bacon with the white wine, adjust with salt and pepper and - when the wine has evaporated - the rolls will be ready (it will take about 15 minutes).
With another condiment
Do you like tomato sauce? Fry a chopped onion in extra virgin olive oil, add 400 gr of crushed peeled tomatoes and adjust with salt and pepper. Immerse the chicken rolls with bacon in the sauce and cook on very low heat for 30/40 minutes. The sauce will be great to accompany the meat rolls or to season a delicious plate of pasta!

Suggestions
The trick in the kitchen: to prevent the wooden skewers from burning during cooking, soak them in cold water for 30 minutes before using them. Then drain them, dry them and skewer your chicken rolls with bacon. Alternatively, you can use small steel skewers or tie the meat rolls with kitchen string! You can also bake your chicken rolls with bacon in the oven. Put a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil in a baking dish and place the meat rolls, drizzle with a little wine, adjust with salt and pepper and bake at 180°C for 20/25 minutes, turning occasionally.
