Here is the original recipe for Carnival arancini!

Procedure

1

In a bowl, mix 200 g of sugar together with the grated zest of 3 oranges. In the meantime, warm the milk in a saucepan and add the brewer's yeast. Now arrange the flour in a well and add the eggs, 50 g of sugar, the milk with the yeast and the butter that you have previously softened. Knead well until you have obtained a homogeneous mixture with which you will form a ball and put in a previously floured container and let it rise covered with a cloth for about a couple of hours.

2

Afterwards, roll out the dough with the help of a wooden rolling pin and cover it with the mixture of grated orange zest and sugar obtained previously and then roll it up on itself in a fairly tight roll. Cut the roll obtained into slices of about one centimeter and let it rest for about half an hour.

3

Heat a generous amount of peanut oil in a non-stick pan and one by one immerse the arancini, taking care to turn them from time to time. Once fried, pass them on absorbent paper and sprinkle them with lots of colored sprinkles.
