Description

The Italian Cooks' Challenge continues today with Elena and Katia, the two amateur cooks from Italy who will compete in the kitchen with recipes based on BonRoll with speck. The dishes they will present are very easy to recreate at home for all occasions and will make you look like real chefs to friends and colleagues.

Elena, the convivial cook, is ready to unleash her secret weapon: turmeric with which she will prepare a dish that already from the name is a program, Spices'n'Roll. In this preparation, the slices of BonRoll with speck are laid on a puree of carrots with turmeric and crispy spinach with chili. Bake the BonRoll with speck in the oven. Finely chop the shallot and sauté it in a pan with the butter. Add the peeled and sliced carrots and mix.

Add a little water or broth, add the turmeric and adjust with salt and pepper. Cook the carrots and then mash them until you get a cream (also leave some pieces of carrot).

In a non-stick pan, sauté a clove of garlic with a drizzle of oil and the chili. Add the spinach and sauté for a few minutes. Serve the slices of BonRoll with speck on the carrot cream and add the spinach.
