2 Extra Fresh Ground Raised AIA Eggs
1 pack of rectangular puff pastry
100 g of spinach
30 g of butter
50 g of grated Parmigiano Reggiano
100 g of strawberry jam
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of white and black sesame
Salt
Pepper

Description

Here is a delicious recipe perfect for the holidays: the salty and sweet puff pastry Christmas tree!

Procedure

In a pan melt the butter and, when it has melted, add the previously boiled and squeezed spinach. Mix well, adjust with salt and pepper and then turn off the heat. Sprinkle the vegetables with the grated cheese and mix well.

Work the strawberry jam in a small bowl. Place the roll of puff pastry on a cutting board and, with a knife, cut out the shape of a large Christmas tree (a triangle). Make oblique side cuts, both on one side and the other of the triangle.

Stuff one half of the right branches with the spinach and roll up the pastry. The left part, instead, stuff it with the strawberry jam.

With the pastry scraps, cut out a star using a cookie cutter and place it on top of your tree. Brush the entire tree with the beaten egg; sprinkle the sweet half with brown sugar and the salty half with white and black sesame. Trunk and star, garnish them with white sesame.

 Bake your tree at 170°C for 15-20 minutes
