Sometimes, to get children to eat, you have to invent "pyrotechnic" recipes: if food design is not exactly your talent, try a potato casserole with a surprise!
The unexpected is what hides under a layer of melting cheese: the würstel. In short, potatoes, cheese and würstel. A concentration of foods that all children love and that adults certainly do not disdain.
Here's how to make this fun recipe that will amaze your little guests!
Procedure
To prepare the potato casserole with a surprise, first wash the potatoes and cook them with their skin in boiling water.
Once they are boiled, peel them and mash them well to get a puree.
Mix the potatoes with the butter, rosemary, salt and pepper and pour everything into a baking dish creating a homogeneous layer of about 2 cm.
Cut the würstel in half lengthwise and place them on the flat side on the puree base, dividing them into groups to get 8 portions.
Cover the würstel with the fontina and bake for 15 minutes at 180°C.
